Dear Chapter Presidents and National Directors:
My name is John Reynolds, and I am a candidate for FMCA National Treasurer. My wife, Jayne and I joined FMCA on July 1, 1993. I am the Immediate Past President of the Eastern Area of FMCA. Since 1987, I have served as President and Treasurer of Reynolds Iron Works Inc., a third-generation family-owned steel fabrication and construction company operating in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. During my time as President, I have grown the company from $900,000 to $12 million in annual sales and from 9 to 51 employees. As President, I am responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the company. As Treasurer, I develop the annual spending plan. In addition, I am Trustee of the company’s pension plan. I am also President and CEO of a natural gas company that I helped form in 2011.
I would like to put my energy, knowledge, and business and financial experience to work for FMCA at the national level. FMCA still faces many challenges, and I feel my FMCA, business and financial background will be a big plus to help lead FMCA into the future.
Additional details about my background and qualifications are included in my attached resume. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 570-279-0756.

Dear FMCA Member,
You may hear this statement a lot in the next few months: “It’s not about the equipment; it’s about the people.” And that comes straight from members!
The time has come to act on what you, the member, have known for years: “Motorhomes” don’t come to rallies and events – PEOPLE do. “Motorhomes” don’t have a corner on the market for family, fun and fellowship - PEOPLE make membership in FMCA what it is. It’s time to lift the equipment restriction placed on us by our founders (so that ALL our friends and family who RV – including those who own towables, which is where most of us started! – can join the FMCA fun).
It’s time to catch up and welcome the entire RVing community in our plans going forward.
There's an important vote coming before your Governing Board in July. Your leadership is being asked to approve allowing FMCA to welcome RV owners - without a motorhome limitation.
The two most common questions we have heard:
Chapters: You will still control your own bylaws. You will not be required to allow owners of towables to join your chapter if your chapter does not wish to do so. The scope of the chapter will continue to be your decision.
Name: Our name will simply change to “FMCA.” We’ll still be the organization that stands for FAMILY and FUN (plus memories, camaraderie, adventure and so much more). We’re calling this a remodeling project. Same foundation, same core purpose and core values. We’ll just open the door a little wider to let more members in so we can ALL have more fun.
Please watch for more information on this exciting topic in the next few months, and encourage your leadership to give thoughtful consideration to this amendment. Remember, it's all about having fun,
FMCA National President
